After a quick glimpse of the rider ahead Fema'le spoke confidently 'General, I want to detain that man.'
He hates it when I tell stories because I tell it like I think it. In my mind there are many important bits of connective information that bring meaning or emotional investment. This is one of our biggest differences.
Maybe it comes from the way we were raised. I can remember attending extended family gatherings where my mother spent the majority of the time explaining relations. For example: "Kristy Don is Kathy's daughter. Kathy (over there on the porch) is Jenny's daughter. Jenny (the one with the pink flowered shirt) is your Mamaw's sister." I hated Kristy Don. She once sang a song about me eating poo. Yes, but it does not matter that I was only 6 and she was only 7.
Maybe it's just because I want him to understand why I care. However, it doesn't really matter to him and all I ever really accomplish is a sigh, an eyeroll, mumbles of the word 'tangent', and a hand motion of something rolling along.
It all works out in the end though. I get my point across. He gets to make jokes. We get to kiss and go on with our lives together.
